Why Would A Girl Act Anxious/Nervous Around A Guy?

This one girl i like acts really quiet/anxious (especially when i talk to her) nervous around me? whys this? + when i make i contact, it's like somethings sinking in her eyes and she looks away, and when we do talk she looks dead serious and bites her lip ect.. + she never really smiles :S thanks :)
