Aggravated with my dr and my baby is still in pain!!!?

My little girl is just over a month old now. She was on Similac Advance and was fine til about a week ago. Great baby, ate good, only woke up once a night, and cried when hungry or wet. I was lucky! Then, she started getting a big belly after eating and cries horribly in pain and pes g a lot. She will draw her legs up and arch her head back and scream and scream. It takes us about an hour to get her soothed. I took her to the dr and he told me it could be colic and to give her tylenol and change her to soy formula and add rice (which she was already getting anyways) I also have her on gripe water and have changed her to soy with cereal still and also a natural aloe juice to help digestion and she is still uncomfortable after eating. How long should she be on the soy before it really gets in her system? I told him I thought it was acid reflux and I wanted to try medicine. I have horrible GERD so I know how she feels. He won't give me any medicine for her and I am upset about the whole thing. I had to give her tylenol once just because she was in so much pain and all that does is put her to sleep! That's not helping her at all I don't think. Also, I did try that Similac Aliminium sp? and she would throw that back up even with rice cereal in it and she hated the taste it seemed like.

I am 225 lbs and I'm 5 ft 11in. I have been fat and made fun of since age 5, I am now not even 16. I need to lose weight and if I don't find a solution soon, I am considering anorexic practices as they seem to be effective. I want to build muscle as well. Can someone please help me control my appetite. All I do is eat, I can't stop myself. I need some help. And of course my parents make it even harder by not taking me to a nutritionist. I have no support on this but myself. I can't choose to eat healthy because my Mom dont cook healthy and she don't care if I ask her not too, its only about what my Dad wants for dinner. Why does my TV have the hiccups since getting my cable service rewired?

In March I signed up to get digital phone service from my cable TV provider. The technician had to re-wire the house because he said that the wires were so old (put in the in 1970's) they couldn't handle the added phone service. Since then, my TV has had the "hiccups." I get the signal clear enough but every 3 to 5 minutes, the TV screen goes gray showing the words "unusable signal" for about 3 to 5 seconds and then the picture and audio return to normal. It's not any regular interruption like I could time with a stopwatch. I don't have a "box" from the cable company - the coax cable comes in through a hole in the wall and is attached to my VCR player, then another coax cable goes from the VCR to my RCA 19" TV. The TV is about 15 years old and the VCR maybe a little older (and it was recently repaired because the picture was "rolling"). It also happens when I'm watching a tape through the VCR, but even more frequently. Any idea what's going on?

My husband and I are currently expecting our first child. I'm at 11w2d. Due to my insurance I won't be getting an u/s until 20 weeks. My husband is in the army and has been gone for this entire pregnancy so far. I had light bleeding and went to the ER at 8w and was able to see the baby's h/b at 171 bpm. However, my husband leaves on Monday for three weeks and will miss the first official OB appt on the 16th of this month. He's so worried that something's wrong. How do you know? I still have all my symptoms: nausea w/vomitting; tender , cramping in my lower abdomen. My symptoms have gotten a bit lighter but I read that it's expected at 11w due to the placenta taking over. I haven't had any bleeding so my OB isn't worried about the cramping. I pee a lot, have difficulty sleeping. I was all fine and dandy until he got worried which now makes me worried. You can fix that, but your son may not want to have contact with his biological father after all. Personally, I like names that have no more than two syllables. An "ie" or "y" sound at the end makes the name sound very affectionate, and befits a dog of that character. A Scottie, for example, would be quite oddly named, in my humble opinion, with a cutesy name. Scottie's are very proud, kind of serious dogs. LOL. I also think it's best to stay away from names that humans use a lot, especially if the name is one shared by one of your friends or relatives. Some people get rather touchy about that. I have a dominant JR male named Tracker. Suits him to a "t." Maybe you should wait until you get to know your new dog before deciding. Your dog might let you know what he/she likes!

In a relationship, isn't it necessary to be able to communicate honestly and respectfully your needs and tell honestly how you are feeling? I follow all the standard rules of good communication (listening, empathy, compromise etc.) but if I broach an issue with my gf, she gets very defensive and tells me she doesn't know how much more she can take. 5 month old and stomach pain?

It seems about every couple of weeks my 5 month old son will wake up and begin to scream in pain. When I touch his tummy/abdomen, it is very hard and when it seems to come on, the harder he cries. This lasts for about an hour. I find that if I hold him against me and pump his legs, it works/soothes a bit (toward the end). Is this colic or gas? I mean, I get the, "Oh, he's gy" from the nurses at the doc's office because I'm a new mom. But I know it's got to hurt something awful because it's a completely different cry from a "fussy" cry. Does this sound normal? He is formula-fed Enfamil Soy and I have been giving him baby oatmeal with pears (constipation). I just want to make sure I'm doing the right thing!

What should I do about the fact that I was ripped off?

I was ripped off and someone made a mistake and said I could pay now and come back to my martial arts course in one month so I did and I spoke to them this month about it and the woman no longer works in that place and they cannot prove it and neither can I because they weren't there to hear what happened, the other instructors. What should I do about this? Should I insist on getting my eighty dollars back, being on benefits myself and having been ripped off by someone else's mistake, or should I leave it, since I am wanting to continue learning martial arts there for this month and allow the fact that I paid for a lesson that I never received? a few months ago i started feeling like i was being watched. not all the time, just at nite after the sun had gona down, and only when i am alone. i am usually intuitive when it comes to knowing if someone is watching me or following me, and this is stronger then any feeling ive ever had. its like someone is standing in front of me and i cant see them. its kept me awake for hours every day and i end up having to sleep during the day sometime. tonight was the worst, i was listening to music to take my mind of it, and once i felt calm enough to go to sleep i turned it off and relaxed. when i had almost fell asleep, i felt pressure on my bed rite next to my hand. i woke up and nothing was there, and then the pressure went away. it felt like a puppy was resting its front paws on my bed, almost lighter and in one spot. i was so scared i culdnt move. i dont know if ive developed a fear of the dark, or being alone, but it only happens at night in the dark when im alone. its getting worse and im scared and i want to know if i should be telling someone or doing something. please any help?

Some Dodgeball Pain help!?

Hi, i was playing dodgeball, and i was like 1 out of 3 people who were left on my side, and their were 2 people in the back. (yes we were being pwned.) The 2 people in the back was a girl and a boy. Both of them were tall, i knew the girl woundnt hit me cuz she hits low, so she gave the ball to the boy. The guy hits me between my shoulder and neck. I have to say most of all of your picks are completely idiotic. It's extremely unrealistic that Detroit will manage to steamroll through everyone like they did last year; although it's true that Detroit's good I really doubt they're that good. It's also pretty unlikely that the top seaded teams from either conference will make it to the top. San Jose and Boston are both teams that sucked huge even last year and now theyre expected to win the cup; give me a break. That's the same thing that happened with the habs last year and look at where they ended up; demolished by the Penguins in the second round last year and barely making into the playoffs this year. If you set aside the Red Wings win from last year you see that the cup went to Ducks, the Hurricanes and the Lightning in the last few years. All of these teams were teams that had an average season record and then exploded in the playoffs in a cinderella story victory only to plummet to the mid/bottom of the standings the following seasons. If you ask me this year the cup is going to an underdog team that doesn't usually show their face in the post season but will make a name for themselves this year. My prediction lies with either Philadelphia or Washington in the east and Vancouver or Chicago in the west. We're gonna see a cinderella story this year. Mark my words

I have straight eyelashes...help? :(?

Okay so my eyelashes don't naturally curl...AT ALL. Not even an eyelash curler by itself will work. It'll curl & the next five minutes it's back straight again. It's so frustrating! I sometimes have to go through the trouble of using an eyelash curler heated by a hair dryer & it curls for like 30 minutes & then it's back down again. & also it gives me dry eyes. The latest thing I've tried is a little rotating mascara thing & that didn't even work. Is there any trick/object I could use to get my eyelashes frickin' curled?! Has anyone taking Lithium been unaffected by weight gain??

I have just started taking lithium after many years using different medications. I refused to take it before as I have not wanted to gain weight but now the benefits of a stable mood are outweighing my weight gain concerns. Not totally though. I am worried that I might get fat and I very much do not want to as I gained twenty five pounds already in the past six months. I currently weigh in at 144lbs. I would like to know if there is anyone out there who has or is taking lithium and not gained. It would be great if I were one who is unaffected and it would be even more great to hear about others who didn't. The answerer does have a valid point. Young people in our culture do start having adult relationships physically before they are ready mentally. With so many families having both mother and father working, it makes it difficult to keep watch on everything our teenagers do. I know as a teenager of 14, my mom allowed me to go out and go steady with guys. I enjoyed the freedom then and thought it was cool, but now I wish that she had been a little stricter. Because of what I did when I was young, I keep a closer watch on my kids. My 17 year old son has only gone out in groups, does not have a girlfriend and has not dated yet. I have seen many parents even push the issue with young kids of 10 or so. They begin asking about having a boyfriend in a teasing way. I think this sets a stage of it being acceptable. Ohkay. So I think I got my first period in March. It was light brown and I got a huge spot on my undies the first day. So I made my own type of pad with tissue paper. The next week days, I wore a pad and there was like little tiny dots and spots sometimes. Then about three weeks later. I got it again but not like that. ok so i have a one year irish setter, and 2 litters of kittens. Navy vs. coast guard?

My husband is thinking of joining either the Coast Guard as an Electricians Mate or Navy in unknown field. He picked EM b/c it has an open A school and the said it had the most openings so he could advance faster. In the Coast Guard he would go in as an E4 and they said they thought he could be E5 in 6 months. However, in the Navy he would go in as an officer. I know officer is much better, but we're concerned how much more the Navy will be underway vs. the coast guard. We have a small baby and he would prefer to spend as much time with her as possible. I've heard even when the Navy ship is docked, your still on 24-7 with no real "weekend" type breaks. How do guys in the Navy plan family vacations or family outings like the zoo if their schedule is like this? Is the coast guard like this too? This is a huge decision and both sides seem to have pros and cons. It's also hard to get an idea of what to really expect by talking to a recruiter. In the Navy would I have to worry about him more? What are the major differences between Navy life vs. Coast Guard life? If this was your decision, what would you do? Any other info you think would help us make this decison is welcomed.

I found 9 newborn puppies with umbilical cords 2 days ago in a trash can. I took them home and 1 of them died the same night. I bought formula for puppies and bottles and have been feeding them every 2-3 hours ever since until they are full. 3 dogs were looking bloated and sick this morning. Took them to the vet but one of them died. He said there�s basically nothing I can do. That I just need to keep feeding them, use glycerin suppositories and hope for the best. He didn�t want to give them any meds because they are too small. He said all I can do is keep feeding them the formula and hope for the best but one of them is pupping white and 3 of them don�t look that healthy. They also don�t stop crying. I need advise soon please!!!! I don�t have any experience with puppies and don�t know what to do!!! If you mean by the first step to sprinkle with salt and place in a bowl...then this is a crucial step because the eggplant skin can be very bitter..what I would change about the first step is sprinkle each slice with salt and place the them in a colander (the bitter water will drain out) and then rinse well and pat dry. Since the recipe refers them to eggplant steaks cut them fairly thick...sounds like a good recipe...enjoy

My science teacher did this experiment. She attached to wires to the battery. On the positive side of the crocodile hook or smth, she attached a copper plate, and on the negative a coin. she placed both of these in a copper sulphate solution in a beaker. She said that the copper ions in the copper plate would break down and get stuck to the coin. What if i reverse this? Positive side - coin, negative side - copper plate. Will the ions of the i think silver coin break down and get stuck to the copper plate or will it not stick. And when the plate breaks down, how come i can't see a bit of it chipped off??? I mean how come it doesn't kind of disappear?

Why do I enjoy thinking about death and murder so much?

I've been depressed pretty much all the time when I was 13-18. At 18 I started seriously considering suicide. Then I fell in love and had the happiest time of my life, then I lost it. I started feeling not so much depressed anymore but enraged, first at my ex, then at the whole world. I can't count the number of times I've played different scenarios of killing her and her new boyfriend. When see a death or murder on TV, it doesn't disgust me anymore but kind of satisfies me a little. Am I turning into psychopath because of what she did to me? Or what caused me to become like this? Ever since she left me I've become a TOTALLY different person. It's like I really did finally commit suicide and now I am reborn into someone else, but instead of being unsatisfied with myself, I seem to be unsatisfied with the world. Like a couple days ago me and my friend had a sleepover, anyways we ended up pulling an all-nighter. At about 1 at noon or so, I was just gonna take a 2 hour nap.. But it ended up being a 7 hour sleep!!! WTF? So, I woke up at nine, then I was up all night .. Then I managed to fall asleep at 5am and then I awoke at 10. That night ( last night ) I fell asleep at 8pm, then I woke up at 2am because I wasn't tired. But now, for me, it is 7:15 , and I am exhausted. I can't fall asleep because I have plans for this morning and all day. How can I stay awake without caffein until like 10 at night ? Please help !
