How do you give a lovebite/hickey?

My boyfriend recently gave me a lovebite and i really enjoyed it, then he asked me if i could give him one back but i lied and told him that i didnt really like it, but the truth is i just didnt know how to give him one. the lovebite he gave me lasted for ages(a week or so) and i want to do the same to him.can someone tell me how do i give him one that will last for ages?
