What's wrong with Christians these days?

Seriously - all the time, Christians are making comments and preaching sermons and other things and they don't even study the Word properly. Why are we bringing worldly things in and mixing them with what the Word of God says? People simply read the Bible, but it doesn't stick; it just pes in one ear and out the other. Why can't we work to study His Word like He told us to?
