Maggits over my freinds leg wound, should he see a Dr? He noticed this last week.?

My freind cut his leg with a chainsaw. He called me today. Said he woke up this morning and had maggits oozing from his wound. Should he just scrap them aways? or go see a Dr? I told him to save the maggits for trout bait, and just go fishing cause he ain't bleedin' none.
